This is the first of (hopefully) many posts I make on this blog. From topics ranging from sports to literature, politics to random daily life, I'm gonna try and make this interesting for all.
A couple of things first about commenting:
1. When commenting, please don't be rude. Constructive criticism is fine, but lets take it easy on the cussing, insulting, name-calling, etc. This blog should be fun and easy-going, not a place to argue and battle with other people.
2. Feel free to chime in about ANYTHING. Just make sure to follow Rule #1. Have fun!
Also, to introduce the blog...page? As of right now, there are only a few "features." I really don't plan on expanding it. I try and go by the KISS rule - Keep It Simple, Stupid (I'm not calling you stupid, that's just what the rule says...) So for now, there's the information box, which basically just has links to major news outlets (including sports). There's also the "Books I've Read" box, which contains the names + authors of the books I've read since the beginning of sophomore year. There is also a blog archive thingie where you can find past posts or gloat in a funny comment you wrote a couple months ago. I think that's it?
A couple of post "features" I'll be doing include Quote of the Day and Song of the Day. These will be my arbitrary choices and really are just random - the Song of the Day will either be the song I'm listening to at the moment I'm writing, or if I'm not listening to music, the song I would be listening to!
Don't think that this is all that will happen in this blog: chances are, as I go along, things will change. But my readership will always know what's going on!
Quote of the Day: "Arguments are to be avoided; they are always vulgar and often convincing." -- Oscar Wilde
Song of the Day: Holland, 1945 (Neutral Milk Hotel)
